Payroll   Electronic Delivery of Payroll Advice

If you are a current employee and are interested in registering, send an email to ESS@springfieldpublicschools.com. We will need to know your Name, Employee ID#, and the email address to which you would like the electronic advice delivered. A confirmation email will be sent to you once your information is set up. Finally, if you don’t already have direct deposit you can enroll by completing the form below (in its entirety and returning it the address at the bottom of the form) which will let you take advantage of this new program.
 

This applies when you receive a Bachelor's Degree

 

You must send the appropriate forms and documents to the Human Resources Department by September 20th or February 20th of each school year.  Any incomplete submissions will be returned to you.  If you do not resend a complete submission by the deadline, you will need to reapply for the next deadline.               

The Public Speak outs will be held on:

Speakers must sign-up to speak, a minimum of (48) hours in advance of the scheduled Public Speak Out, by contacting the Executive Assistant to the School Committee at (413) 787-7100 ext. 55112 and must provide their full name, residential address, email, phone number, affiliation, and a description of the topic about which they want to speak.

Meetings will provide students, families, and community members with the opportunity to share concerns and raise district-related issues. To ensure meaningful engagement and responsiveness, members of the public will be asked to submit topics of concern in advance of the meeting. Discussions will be limited to those items. While additional topics may be raised during the meeting, those topics will not be deliberated, but will be noted for future consideration. Meeting locations will be posted on the SPS website: School Committee - Springfield Public Schools​​

In the event of a cut-back in personnel within the unit, employees shall be reduced in order of length of continuous service defined in Article V, Section I, (employment list) as applied in the following categories:

​

a.         Para-educators, excluding volunteers.

b.         Assistant teachers

c.         Licensed Practical Nurses

d.         Health Assistants (LPN)  

e.         Certified Nursing Assistants

f.          Occupational Therapy Assistants

g.         Physical Therapy Assistants

h.         Tutors/Fellows


If there is a reduction in a category the employee(s) with the least total length of continuous service in that particular category shall either be laid off, or if that employee(s) had previous experience (in the City of Springfield) in any other category, he/she shall be measured by total length of service in the other category(s) and the employee(s) with the least total length of service shall be laid-off;
