Kencin Junior

Kencin Junior works as a Para-educator at Balliet Elementary School, where he also serves as the Building Representative for the members of his building.

Gretchen Hooks nominated Kencin and she writes, "The reasons that I feel Kencin should be honored, is because of his ability to represent and support the Para's in our building. He keeps us informed of what's going on as well as being a voice for us through strong communication and dedication. Some of his contributions to our school include his Talent Shows that the students in our school can be a part of and feel good about themselves. He also is our school D.J. for school events and the Holiday Show. The most important of Kencins' love in our school, is when he organized, and made successful our very first, showcase called, "A Day in Black History." This event was held Friday, February 14th, in which the building was transformed into a museum of famous African American activist, actors, writers, sports, and public speakers, just to name a few. The highlight of the day, was the 5th grade students who were dressed up as leaders of the African Americans Leaders as wax figures. Both staff and students learned a lot on that day and were educated on African American History as part of American History. Kencin is a model of cultural awareness and should be honored."

Congratulations Kencin and Thank You for Making A Difference!
